RODNEY A. HAMMOND WENDY C. MATTHEW

Rodney A. Hammond serves as a member of the Supreme Council for the Loyal Order of Moose. He was elected to this position in July 2011 at the 123rd International Convention in Anaheim, after having served on the Moosehaven Board of Directors since 2010. Rodney retired from the Moose International Membership Department effective July 2, 2010, after having served as Regional Manager for Florida and Bermuda since 2001.

Rodney joined Kissimmee Lodge 2056 as a charter member in 1978, and was appointed Trustee on the original Board of Officers. Rodney was named Kissimmee’s Administrator in 1981 and served 20 years in that position, helping to build Kissimmee 2056 into one of the fraternity’s leading Lodges; the only one in Florida that earned the Lodge Merit Award in each of the first 15 years of that program. He received a conferral as Past Governor.

Rodney joined Indian River Moose Legion 178 in 1982, and served as its Secretary from 1993 to 1995, he received the Honorary Past President. He’s a Life Member in both his Lodge and Moose Legion, and a member of the 400 Division of the Moose 25 Club. He has earned the Moose Legion Elite Member Ring by sponsoring over 100 members into the Degree of Service.

He served the Florida/Bermuda Moose Association on numerous committees; as an Assistant Inner Guard and, in 1999-2000, as Chairman of the International Family Activities Committee. In 2001, he was appointed to the Membership Activities Committee. He received a conferral as Past President.

The Fellowship Degree of Honor was conferred on him in 1983, and the Pilgrim Degree of Merit in 1991.

He also served as Deputy Supreme Governor for Florida in 1996-97.

Rodney also has affiliations with Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 1873, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4048, Theta Chi Fraternity, and Tau Chapter. He enjoys Pool, golfing and following Florida Gators sports.

Born in Brooksville, FL, Rodney holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida. He has two sons, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Wendy C. Matthew serves as a member of the International Activities Committee. She was appointed to this position in July 2010 at the 122nd International Convention in Nashville.

Wendy joined Women of the Moose Chatham, Ontario Chapter 304 in October 1976.

She became a Life Member in June 1997. She has always been an active member and served her Chapter in many capacities as well as fulfilled appointments made by International Headquarters.

Wendy earned her Academy of Friendship in May 1979, College of Regents in May 1983, and Star Recorder in May 1984. Wendy served the Women of the Moose as Deputy Grand Regent for Ontario 1994-95, Star Recorder Board Member 1999-2001, President of the Star Recorder Board 2002-2003, and Grand Council Member 2006-08.

Wendy previously served the fraternity as a member of the Council on Canadian Operations 2008-2010. She currently serves as Moose Charities Chairman, Chapter Analyst Coordinator and Training Coordinator in Ontario. She has served as chairman of the Ontario Life Care, Gimme 5, and Fraternal Fundraising committees. She also served as a Deputy Regional Manager 2006-2010.

Wendy resides in Chatham, Ontario. She works in Office Administration for Can Art Aluminum.
